Notice to Clients
The Central Bank of Lebanon in its Intermediary Circular n° 205 dated 31.10.09, has required the Local Banks to take the necessary measures for issuing the 'Banking Identity' number International Bank Account Number - IBAN“ to be used in the processing of Local and International transfers.
The IBAN consists of a compound number of twenty-eight digits allocated to each account. FRANSABANK will provide all clients with the specific IBAN for each of their accounts to be used in transfer operations, starting 01.01.2010.
In conformity with the Central Bank Circular, all Local incoming or outgoing transfers and International transfers not mentioning the related IBAN of the beneficiary’s account, will be rejected starting 01.07.2010.
