FRANSABANK El Djazaїr was the golden sponsor of the Algeria Economic Forum that was held under the patronage of H.E. President Abdelaziz Bouteflika on 20-21 January 2008. The event was highly attended by key Algerian, Arab and foreign officials along an elite group of Arab and world businessmen from the private sector, and a group of Lebanese expatriates. HE Adnan Kassar, Chairman of FRANSABANK Group, was one of the key speakers in the opening ceremony of the Forum. Under his patronage and at the ending ceremony, FRANSABANK El Djazaїr held a cocktail luncheon at Sheraton Algeria. FRANSABANK’s presence in both the forum and the cocktail made an overwhelming success, attracting a very big crowd to both the Bank’s booth at the relevant exposition and to its organized luncheon event. The success of the event is nothing but an extension to the success of the FRANSABANK El Djazaїr itself which is the first Lebanese Bank to enter the Algerian market. The Bank was effectively operational in 2007 only, and has already acquired a large market share in this lucrative market.
