Within its Corporate Social Responsibility, FRANSABANK sponsored JAIPUR Foot Project that aims at availing free artificial foot camps for the amputees who lost their limbs as a result of mines or cluster bombs. The project was a joint endeavor between FRANSABANK and UNIFIL for providing free Indian artificial limbs to the Lebanese victims.

The Camp was conducted from October 20 to 26, 2007.  A total of ninety artificial limbs for 81 people were provided.  FRANSABANK has thus succeeded to make a major difference in the lives of 81 people.

FRANSABANK was recognized in the Medal Presentation Parade on October 26 where UN Medals were presented to the Peacekeepers in presence of Major General Claudio Graziano, UNIFIL Force Commander, Senior Commanders of UNIFIL and all of UNIFIL Battalions Commanding Officers as well as select Lebanese dignitaries.  Major General Graziano, described the camp as “The Jewel of Humanitarian activities.”

Fransabank has achieved a great goal which was physical rehabilitation of the physically challenged, enabling them to regain their self-esteem.  The ages of the people who have benefited from this camp ranged from seven to 77. They had come from all over Lebanon, from Beirut, Aley, Bekaa and West Bekka, The North, Chouf, and the South.
