Helmut Oswald Maucher
Helmut Oswald Maucher is Honorary Chairman of Nestlé S.A., the world's leading food company.
He was born in 1927 in Eisenharz, Germany. He holds a degree in Business from the Frankfurt University.
Until 1980, he held different management positions within the Nestlé Company in Germany. In 1975 he was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Nestlé Gruppe Deutschland, Frankfurt and in 1980 he was transferred to Nestlé Switzerland as Executive Vice President of Nestlé S.A., Vevey, and Member of the Execu¬tive Committee.
In 1981 he was nominated CEO, and from 1990 he was also Chairman of the Board. As of 1997, he continued as Chair¬man which position he relinquished in 2000 and was named Honorary Chairman by the Board.
Currently, Helmut Oswald Maucher is still engaged in various boards and institutions such as the renowned German Allensbach institute of public opinion research of which he is Chairman of the Board of Trustees.
Helmut Oswald Maucher is the author of the books "Leadership in Action" and the "Management Breviary" (both translated from German into several languages) selected in 2011 as "One of the 100 best business books of all times
" by a panel of experts.
