Fransabank (France) SA was established in 1984 under the leadership of Fransabank Group SAL – having its head office in Lebanon - and Crédit Agricole.

In 2007, BPCE Group replaced Crédit Agricole acquiring a stake in order to strengthen the partnership with Fransabank Group. BPCE became an institution of reference vis-à-vis the French and European regulatory authorities.

The core business of Fransabank (France) SA is financing the international trade. The bank also offers a range of products and services tailored to its corporate and individual clients, residents or non-residents in France. It is the main entry point in Europe for its correspondent banks.

The shareholders provide continuous support in various domains, notably in the development of products and services with Fransabank SAL and Natixis.

To date, the shareholding of the bank is distributed as follows: Fransabank SAL 79 %, BPCE International 21 %.
